The NI-9760 is a 6-channel C Series VR/Hall Interface Module designed for use with variable reluctance (VR) and Hall effect sensors. Each channel is configurable for either sensor type and features a differential input, offering flexibility for various sensor configurations. The module outputs a conditioned, digital version of the input signal, making it suitable for real-time data acquisition and signal processing. It includes adaptive noise rejection for VR signals and supports programmable DAC setpoints to configure logic thresholds. The module also supports Hall effect sensors with open-collector outputs by including programmable pull-up resistors
The C Series VR/Hall Interface Module features six differential input channels that can be individually configured as variable reluctance (VR) or Hall-effect sensor input. Each channel features an external digital output, which passes out the conditioned, digital version of the VR/Hall input signal. The VR circuits use adaptive noise rejection during continuous incoming VR pulses. Fixed arming thresholds can be configured via digital-to-analog converter (DAC) setpoints. The Hall-effect circuits read single-ended or differential digital signals from Hall-effect sensors, proximity sensors, or any digital signal sources.
The National Instruments 9760 CompactRIO VR/Hall Sensor Module offers a set of automotive style inputs to interface with standard automotive position sensors. It provides six channels which may be software selected as a VR sensor or a Hall-Effect sensor input.
